Bearfoot is a fast rising, young acoustic band based out of Anchorage, Alaska featuring powerful, emotive vocals, moving arrangements and instrumental exellence backed up by solid rhythm. Their unique sounds range from traditional bluegrass to original jazzy compositions and has captivated audiences across the nation.

The band orignated from a group of music camp counselors working in Cordova, Alaska. Each member's contribution highlights different musical influences that, when combined as a whole, fuels Bearfoot's energetic performances.

These live performances offer audiences a diverse musical experience that appeals to both young and old. Since their formation in 1999, they have become a nationally touring band with several professionally produced CDs (Only Time Knows, Back Home).

Bearfoot has performed at the International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) Festival where they were showcased, Wintergrass Festival, Rockygrass Festival, and at the Telluride Bluegrass Festival. It was at the Telluride Bluegrass Festival that Bearfoot won the 2001 Band Competition, an honor they share with past recipients: Nickel Creek (1995) and the Dixie Chicks (1991).
